Complex AI

Privacy Policy

Effective 18 August 2026

This site is deliberately simple: it sets no cookies, has no login, and runs no tracking that identifies you. The one place it collects anything is the enquiry form, and only what you choose to type into it. This policy explains that in plain language rather than boilerplate.

Who we are

Complex AI is a sole proprietorship operated by Jerrell Abrahams, based in Boksburg, Gauteng, South Africa. For the purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Complex AI is the responsible party for the information described here, and Jerrell Abrahams is the Information Officer.

This policy covers the website at complexai.co.za. Our client management system at admin.complexai.co.za is a separate application with its own access controls; what we hold about you there is described under If you become a client below.

What we collect

The enquiry form. Your name, email address and the description of what you would like built. Nothing else is captured. The form also contains a hidden field that only automated bots fill in — if it is completed, the submission is discarded and never reaches us.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites. What we see is aggregate: how many people visited, which pages, roughly which country, and which link brought them. We cannot identify an individual visitor from it, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Server logs. Our host keeps standard web server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and operational purposes. We do not analyse these to identify visitors.

What you send us directly. If you message us on WhatsApp or send an email, we hold that conversation and whatever you chose to tell us in it.

Why we process it

We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies at all — not for analytics, not for preferences, not for advertising. Nothing is stored on your device by us, and so there is no cookie banner.

Third-party providers

Running the site means a small number of other companies necessarily handle data on our behalf, or receive it as part of how the internet works. Each is bound by its own privacy terms, which we do not control:

Information sent outside South Africa

Because our hosting and email delivery providers operate in the United States and Ireland, your enquiry crosses borders on its way to us. POPIA permits this where the transfer is necessary to perform a contract or to take steps at your request before one, and where the recipient is bound by rules providing an adequate level of protection. Both providers are bound by their published data protection terms. Sending us the form, a WhatsApp message or an email means accepting that it travels this way.

How long we keep it

How it is stored and secured

The site is served over HTTPS. The enquiry form has no database behind it — your message is validated, emailed, and not retained by the website itself, so once it arrives your enquiry lives in our mailbox. Access credentials for our providers are stored encrypted and are not present in the website code. Jerrell Abrahams is the only person with access to the inbox and the management system.

If you become a client

Clients are managed and invoiced through our own system at admin.complexai.co.za. For that we hold what is needed to run the relationship: your name, contact details, the services you are subscribed to, and your invoicing history. It is used to deliver and bill for the work, and for nothing else. The same rights and retention periods described in this policy apply to it.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may:

Because we collect almost nothing automatically, in practice this means your enquiry and anything else you sent us directly. Email us and we will action it — we aim to respond within 30 days, and we will not charge you for a reasonable request.

Complaints

We would rather hear from you first, but you are entitled to complain directly to the Information Regulator of South Africa:

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or who processes it changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. We will not quietly broaden what we do with information already given to us.
